CREATINE SPORTS PERFORMANCE

Creatine is a substance produced in the body from the arginine, methionine and glycine, existing in various foods, in particular in the flesh. Is a substance used for more than 20 years in sport and well-grounded in hundreds of scientific studies. The vast majority of these documents is related to gain muscle mass.

In fact their use is associated with a muscular hypertrophy, with increased protein synthesis. Creatine causes increased water ingress in the cells of the muscle myofibrils and increases the production of ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) (energetic substrate for excellence). More recent studies point to the fact that creatine inhibit myostatin levels (inhibitory protein of muscle growth), and raise levels of IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor). Note that almost all of the studies referred to, was carried out with high purity Creatine monohydrate. The dosages are included among the 5 and 10 grams daily.
