Is a dipeptide naturally present consisting of Histidine and alanine (beta), that is found in high amounts in the fast-twitch muscle fibers. Carnosine contributes to the maintenance of a normal PH during the processes of energy production, thus contributing to the strengthening of muscle contractions during exercise. Besides being a pickup of free hydrogen ion (H ), carnosine has an antioxidant effect that protects the cells in General and the particular muscle, during intense physical activity. Supplementation contributes to the resistance, the strength and the growth of muscle mass.
